My story

I have made the journey you are about to make.

I was born and raised in India, and lived there for the first three decades of my life. I did not grow up with connections, family wealth or a shortcut into the American corporate world. What I had was a habit of learning in public and a willingness to be bad at something until I was not.

I moved to the United States for a Full-Time STEM MBA at Rice University in Houston. Everything after that — the recruiting cycles, the visa paperwork, the cultural recalibration, the rejections — I learned by doing it, usually the hard way.

I now spend my time helping people do it faster and with fewer avoidable mistakes.

  1. Growing up in India

Three decades in India shaped how I think about ambition, family expectations and risk. I understand the conversations you are having at home, because I had them too.

  2. Building a career across industries

UX design, consumer research, product strategy and marketing — at companies including Kantar and Dell Technologies. Working across functions taught me how hiring managers in each one actually evaluate people.

  3. Co-founding a packaging business

I co-founded a packaging company in India and owned business strategy, operations and the P&L. Running something where the numbers are yours teaches you commercial judgement that no case study can.

  4. Rice University — Full-Time STEM MBA

Jones Graduate School of Business, Houston. I arrived as an international student with no U.S. network and had to build one from zero while learning an entirely new recruiting game.

  5. Breaking into U.S. corporate life

Internship and full-time recruiting, behavioural and case interviews, offer negotiation, OPT, STEM OPT and the H-1B maze. I have personally navigated each of these decisions, not read about them.

  6. Now

Coaching the next set of people through it

I work one-to-one with professionals who want an international career and would rather not spend two years learning what someone could have told them in an hour.

How I think about this work

Don't memorise interview answers.

Become the kind of candidate a company naturally wants to hire.

Don't write essays designed to sound impressive.

Tell the truth about your life, well.

Don't chase rankings blindly.

Design the career that fits the life you actually want.

Services

Three ways I work with people, depending on where you actually are.

Most people need one of these, not all three. We work that out on the first call rather than selling you the largest package.

Get into a school that is worth the money, with an application that sounds like you.

  • GMAT vs. GRE decision and timeline planning

  • Recommender strategy and briefing
  • Admissions interview preparation

Who I help

You will recognise yourself in one of these.

If none of them fit but the problem feels adjacent, write to me anyway and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person.

  • Working professionals

You have three to ten years of experience in India and want an international career. You are weighing whether an MBA, an MS or a direct move is the right vehicle.

  • MBA & MS applicants

You are mid-application and the essays are not landing, the resume reads like a job description, or you cannot tell if your school list is realistic.

  • International students in the U.S.

You are on campus, recruiting season has started, and you are competing with people who grew up fluent in this system. Visa constraints make every rejection feel heavier.

  • Career switchers

You want to move into Product, Marketing or Strategy from an adjacent function. You need a story that makes the switch look obvious rather than risky.

Process

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them.

No long contracts to start. The first call stands on its own, and you keep the plan whether or not we continue.

  1. 01

    Discovery

We start with a paid 60-minute call. You tell me where you are and what you want; I ask the questions that surface what is actually blocking you. If I do not think I can help, I will say so on that call.

    You leave with
A clear, honest read on your situation

  2. 02

    Strategy

I write up a plan: target schools or roles, the sequence of work, the timeline, and the specific gaps we need to close. You own the document whether or not we keep working together.

    You leave with
A written plan with dates and priorities

  3. 03

    Execution

We work through the plan together — resume, essays, LinkedIn, networking, mock interviews. You do the drafts, I give you feedback that is specific enough to act on.

    You leave with
Materials and preparation that hold up

  4. 04

    Decision

Offers and admits arrive, and the choice is rarely obvious. We evaluate them against the life you said you wanted at the start, and negotiate from a position of clarity.

    You leave with
A decision you can defend to yourself

Results

What changes when the work is done properly.

The shift is rarely about confidence in the abstract. It is usually one specific habit — how you tell a story, what you put on a page, how you answer a follow-up.

Illustrative examples. These show the format real testimonials will take. Replace them in src/lib/content.ts with quotes you have permission to publish — this notice disappears automatically once you do.

I had rewritten my essays four times and they still sounded like a brochure. Priyank made me throw out the version I was proud of and tell the actual story. It was uncomfortable and it was the right call.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they book.

If yours is not here, email me. I answer these myself.

No, and anyone who does is not being straight with you. Admissions committees and hiring managers make their own decisions. What I can do is make sure your application and your interviewing are as strong as your actual experience allows, and that you are not losing to avoidable mistakes. If I think your target is unrealistic, I will tell you on our first call rather than take your money for a year.
